All about the Podcast
The content of my podcast is about social media activism and how it drives social change in society. The content includes explanations of each of the concepts( Public sphere and E-democracy) that I used to examine social media activism in detail and provide some Arguments. The arguments are,
Social media provides a space for people to express and join in conversation or argument regarding social issues across the world
Social media gives people power to call out injustices and inaccuracies by participating on various e-forums on social media
The terms of social media which is accessible and flexible to use by many people, it makes social media could be a danger place for the actvists
The strategy of the podcast was first writing down the plan in the form of an Essay so it could be understandable when it comes to recording audio. And I tried to be natural so it's not boring to hear and provide a relaxing backsound to evoke the feeling. All of these strategies are the main point of my podcast.
My podcast was informed strategically and gradually through my voice yet, beforehand, I must take some time to memorize and practice so that, It can be natural as it is in general. Yet for memorizing I only memorize definition of the concepts and the transition word so that, I can clearly defining the concepts and read the script properly.
The scholarly sources were used only for defined and explained the difficult issue of social media activism. For example I used scholarly sources to define social media, activism, Public sphere and E- democracy.
Strategy In detail, the podcast that I created contains an explanation in detail about possibilities and risks of social media activism in driving social. I have chosen Social media Activism because I was interested in social issues and also I often follow up with the recent news about social issues across the world. My podcast is made structurally, it means from the start until the end, I have written beforehand so that it makes it easy to manage and record at the end. And also regarding the recording section I tried to find a useful video on YouTube to help me run the audacity as well as how to edit audio properly and through YouTube as well I found the back sound of my podcast. The music that I have been using is a type of Lo-fi with the license under creative common.
Problem and How I solved, It was an interesting experience for me as a student of communication in making this podcast. The first problem I faced is myself because honestly I cannot confidence when it comes to talk rapidly and structurally in any platforms but, I succeed addressee the problem with the editing and the way I record myself. Second problem probably Noisy voice, unfortunately I live just after the tramp’s way so, it's so noisy and annoyed for me because the every time I record the tramp was passed my apartment yet, I also succeed address the issues because I figure it out when trump is not process which is 1-4am so with these amount of time I used to record my voice. I learn from all of these that nothing is impossible when we have confidence to start and also The best word of Tim ( Learning by doing).
